The other main mode is called, World Tournament, and this as the name suggests is a tournament fighter. The Ultimate Battle!Īs well as the story mode, Dragon Ball Z Budokai is pretty stacked with game modes. The music is your typical DBZ stuff and I mean that in a good way. These sound files still sound nice and clear and I like the fact that they did this as it makes the story more authentic to the show. It features rocking music and it has many voices that have clearly just been ripped from the show.
DRAGON BALL Z MUGEN TENKAICHI PS2
As this is a PS2 and GameCube game, the cell shading lacks that pop that an HD game would. The “finer details” are not all that present here and the various backgrounds of which there are a decent amount are not exactly popping. However, things are not as detailed as modern games which is to be expected.

They went for a cell-shaded art style which certainly helps the game fight off father time a little bit. I think that Dragon Ball Z has some amazing-looking games, just look at the fairly recent Dragon Ball Fighterz for example! In regards to Dragon Ball Z Budokai, this game is showing its age. At the time of release, I was not super into it, but now, looking back there are some great ideas here. There is a What If storyline for Vegeta, Frieza, and Cell, and they are all very well done and make you think. However, it is the What If scenarios that this game has which truly make it great.
